Solberg Receives Export Achievement Certificate
June 5, 2013
Solberg, the firefighting foam products division of Amerex Corporation, recently received an Export Achievement Certificate from the U.S. Commercial Service at the May 2013 Wisconsin International Trade Conference held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The annual trade conference was hosted by the Milwaukee World Trade Association, the global arm of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce (MMAC).
For more than 40 years, individuals involved in international trade have gathered to learn from experts and each other at this full-day conference. This year’s theme was “Global Game Changers.” In addition to Export Achievement awards given by the U.S. Commercial Service, the conference also recognized Wisconsin based companies who won export awards in the following categories: Export Technology, Wisconsin SBA Exporter of the Year and the Governor’s Export Award.
The U.S. Commercial Service is the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. Located across the United States and in U.S. Embassies and Consulates in nearly 80 countries, U.S. Commercial Service’s global network of trade professionals connects U.S. companies with international buyers, providing them with market intelligence, trade counseling, business matchmaking and advocacy/commercial diplomacy support.
The Export Achievement Certificate was created to recognize small and medium sized enterprises that have successfully entered the international marketplace for the first time or that have successfully entered a new market. In the case of Solberg, its certificate was awarded based on “New-to-Market” defined as a company that has exported before, but not to the particular country.
Congratulations to Team Solberg … keep up the great work!
