Tyler Union's Sara Tongsuvone Cuts Her Hair for Locks of Love
December 30, 2014
The holiday season is truly a time of giving and team member Sara Tongsuvone gave the perfect gift. Sara is the Human Resources Assistant at Tyler Union Anniston and she recently had 10 inches of her beautiful long tresses cut for Locks of Love.
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. They use donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics for children. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses they provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers. The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need.
This was an incredible act of kindness by Sara and we wanted to let her know how proud we are to have her as a member of our team!
