Kennedy Valve was proud to be the title Sponsor for the recent Tour de Keuka charity bike ride. The Kennedy Valve team “Twisted Spoke” raised $2,380 for United Way of the Southern Tier (UWST). Altogether the event raised $104,874.
UWST works with the community to solve complex problems in Chemung and Steuben counties in three key areas: Southern Tier Kids on Track, Southern Tier Senior Support Network and Southern Tier Basic Needs Network. Through gifts from individual donors, local businesses and their employees, corporations, and foundations, UWST supports 67 programs throughout the two counties. They are also the local sponsor of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a program that provides a free book by mail every month to each registered child, under 5 years old, in Chemung and Steuben counties, regardless of a family’s income.
This was the second year the Kennedy Valve team of Cameron Adams, Dave Adams, Mason Stachowski, Mike Gleason, Nate Pizzini and Loris Pizzini has ridden the 45 Mile route around Keuka Lake in upstate New York.
Congratulations to Mason Stachowski for being the top individual fundraiser raising $600!
